Financial and risk disclaimer
Last updated: July 8, 2026
TribeOne publishes educational material, not individualized advice. Content on this site is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice and is not an invitation to buy, sell, lend, borrow, or deposit any asset.
Smart contract and technical risk
Blockchain applications depend on software, networks, price oracles, bridges, governance systems, and administrative controls. Bugs, exploits, incorrect price data, compromised keys, network congestion, or malicious governance can cause permanent loss. An audit or long operating history reduces some uncertainty but does not guarantee safety.
Liquidation and market risk
Crypto collateral can move sharply and continuously. A borrower may be liquidated automatically when collateral falls below a protocol threshold, potentially incurring penalties and losing collateral even if they intended to repay. Depositors also face changing rates, liquidity constraints, depegging, bad debt, and market-wide contagion.
Platform and counterparty risk
Decentralized branding does not eliminate control or counterparty risk. A small group may retain upgrade keys, governance influence, custody, or operational dependencies. Centralized services can become insolvent, suspend withdrawals, change terms, or fail to return assets.
Regulatory and tax uncertainty
Laws and regulatory treatment vary by location and can change quickly. Access to a product does not establish that its use is legal or appropriate where you live. Crypto transactions may also create reporting or tax obligations. Seek qualified local advice where needed.
No guarantee of accuracy or timeliness
We make reasonable efforts to publish clear, accurate explanations, but we do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or ongoing currency. Protocol rules, interfaces, supported assets, rates, and risks can change after an article is reviewed. Verify important details using current primary documentation.
No endorsement
Discussion or linking does not endorse a protocol, token, company, or strategy. TribeOne does not currently publish sponsored protocol recommendations. A protocol's inclusion in an explanation should not be interpreted as a safety assessment.
Assumption of risk
You remain solely responsible for evaluating information, protecting credentials, understanding transactions before signing them, and deciding whether any activity fits your circumstances and risk tolerance. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
